BEING CHRIST-LIKE; YIELDING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

 MENTORING DAY 21/30

TOPIC: BEING CHRIST-LIKE; YIELDING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

TEXT: Colossians 3:10; NLT: "Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your creator and become like Him".   TPT: "For you have acquired new creation life which is continually being renewed into the likeness of the One who created you; giving you the full revelation of God."

Praise God!, Alleluia. On the previous devotional, we studied the subject LOVE which encompasses the nature of God that ought to be seen in a believers life. LOVE is Patient, LOVE is Kind, LOVE is not Proud, LOVE forgives, suffer long and even bears no record of being wronged. All this was looked into in the former. Today, we're considering a more practical way by which we can be transformed into being like Christ. Praise God!.

Transformation takes place only after a mind has been renewed to a body of information, so if we talk about Spiritual transformation; we'll say this takes place when the mind of a believer is exposed to adequate Spiritual truth, which is well understood and brooded upon by the Holy Ghost. Always know this that without renewal, there is no transformation. Ordinary knowledge is not also renewal, it takes understanding, meditation and the permeating and submerging power of the Holy Spirit.

As we all ought to be transformed to the image of Jesus, we should never neglect that this can't be achieved without prayer and the study of the Word, meanwhile, one shouldn't be done without the other. The Lord gives us understanding and open our eyes to see, Amen. We must be intentional about spiritual growth and transformation, sincere to the core, open and YIELDED TO THE HOLY SPIRIT. Sincerity and yieldedness in the sense that, we know that we are lacking, so as the Holy Ghost by the Word of God shows us our lack of conformity to the image of Christ, we immediately acknowledge and are ready to be transformed. Finally, the end point of transformation is that we manifest the fullness of this new God-given life, revealing Jesus Christ in all ways. The Lord Almighty gives us grace and help our lives. Amen.

PRAY IN THE WORD!. God Bless You.
