LOVE - PART 2

   Good morning people. We bless God for His help and grace through the Holy Spirit to study this important topic. This is the second part of this study as you can check yesterday's post for part 1. Love as we are considering, is something that should be part of our daily lives. It was plainly written in yesterday's teaching, that this kind of love is the extension and continuation of God's love through Christ Jesus; which is agape love, not fleshly lust or lust of the heart. We considered how God love was manifested toward us, and how we are commanded to love both God, and our neighbors. We also studied ways to Love God, and we know that we have to both do what he commands and then love one another. I John 3:7-8 KJV says Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. vs8; He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. The Bible further says in vs21 that And this commandment have we also received from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. Today we're going to further consider characteristics of this truthful love according to the scriptures. I Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV says Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. vs5: It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. vs6: Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. vs7: It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. If we say we love then we should trust God and the Holy Spirit to help us live a life full of truthful love. I John 3:18 KJV says My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth. This passage I believe, refers to us not just saying we love someone with mouth, we are to learn practical love, giving, tending to the need of others out of the abundance God hath given us, praying for the weak and all. Please don't err; don't say you love and then commit sin according to the desires of the flesh, he that is born of God sinneth not. The command from our heavenly father is to love like Christ. I pray Jesus the perfect master teaches us the way to love and the practicality, Amen.

PRAYER POINT:

Lord Jesus, I come to you forgive me of every error of fake and worldly love I've entered into,

Father, put in me the mind and heart of Christ to love like you, and practically love my neighbor as myself.

Help me to love you and do your will and commandments. Amen

The mind of Christ is formed in you.

The grace of our Lord Jesus, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit dwells with you always, AMEN.
